About the Camp
The Bard College Summer Baseball Camp is for both younger players who wish to learn and improve their skills, as well as older more experienced players who are looking to take their game to the next level.  It is designed for players of all abilities with a strong emphasis on fundamentals.  Instruction will focus on individual skill development and utilizing those skills within a team concept during a game setting.  This camp will be one of the top fundamental camps in the region and will be aimed at giving each camper as much quality baseball instruction as possible.

Daily Activities
Half Day Camp: This program is designed for players between the ages of 6-8 and will focus on the basic fundamentals, general concepts and rules of the game.  Contests and games will provide campers an opportunity to use learned skills while having fun!  All campers receive a camp t-shirt and an opportunity to win daily prizes and end of week awards.

Full Day Camp: This program is designed for players between the ages of 9-14 and teaches the basic fundamentals as well as more complex skills and concepts in the older age groups. Groups will be divided up based on age and ability level.  The morning sessions are dedicated to the instruction of specific skills (hitting, pitching, fielding, etc).  The afternoons are filled with instruction, contests and games.  All campers receive a camp t-shirt, lunch and an opportunity to win daily prizes and end of week awards.

Camp Directors

Andy Salvatore is the Head Baseball Coach at Bard College. Salvatore was previously the program's Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator since 2012.  Coach Salvatore has instructed at some of the finest college baseball camps in the country over the past several years while at Bard including Harvard, Stanford and Clemson.  Prior to Bard, he served as an assistant coach at SUNY Oswego where he was also a standout pitcher for the Lakers and earned a degree in Childhood Education.

Jesse Marsh  is the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Bard Raptors.  Marsh comes to Bard after three years at Division I Marist, where he was an assistant with recruiting , working with catchers and hitters and overseeing the strength and conditioning program.  Prior to his work as Marist, Marsh was an assistant at Division I LIU Brooklyn for two years. Before LIU Brooklyn, Marsh was the lead assistant at his alma mater, SUNY New Paltz, for three seasons and also earned a degree in Elementary Education.

Other camp staffers include outstanding college and high school coaches along with current Bard players.

Facilities

The Bard College Baseball Camp will be held on Honey Field.  Honey Field is a $2 million facility that is fully equipped with an artificial turf surface, bullpens and batting tunnels.
